I will be uploading the videos as I take them, I love this phone and I absolutely love these boys!!!

Thanks to a friend at work I’m going to be installing OpenVZ on a box at home, I think I may turn the old desktop that is currently running a VM OS, but not doing anything, into this OpenVZ box to build 3 little VMs inside of it.

2 web servers and a load balancer.

Then I’ll have to play with some php code to get it to display the server names and have a little website thats routed between the machines.

Sounds like a BLAST!

The droid is still not rooted, but is still awesome!

The wife is currently standing in line for the movie New Moon, she’s not a night owl by any means so it’s going to be very interesting to see how she handles being up until 3am.

So it showed up, I took a lunch and picked it up… this thing is sweet! Sturdy, solid, very very slick… I am impressed!

Android2.0 is cool, I’m still trying to figure out where all the settings and so forth are. It will take some time moving from WiMo6.1 and the iPhone3.1 to Android.

The videos are AWESOME, supremely impressed by the video capture quality, and I figured out how to upload the stuff to YouTube. This will be linked or shown here shortly, and on fb.

Next step will be to get GoogleVoice all hooked up.

I want to put some of the cool Droid pics up on the site, nothing like an ominous robot eye to welcome people… Finding them has been problematic though.

I am getting a Motorola Droid, hopefully today. I am an iPhone user (work phone) and though its probably a better complete user experience with the vastness of the apps and aesthetics I don’t like AT&T enough to switch over. Nor do I want to pay the price for a GS, they are pricey.

Regardless of the iPhone and Apple, Droid is the first phone since the bluetooth capable Moto phone (that Verizon and Motorola) stripped Obex (Object Exchange) that I wanted from Verizon. With Android it will increase the openness of the device and it’s capabilities. I’m tempted to hold off on buying it, but it is the chance to move from my current phone (which I have greatly enjoyed HTC Titan).

Droid is going to be Slick! Big screen, fast processor, Android2.0, 5MP camera, and a thin sliding keyboard. I think this is Motos finest device I’ve had the opportunity to potentially purchase.

Next thing that is needed is to ROOT THE PHONE! I wish I had the skills to help in that venture, maybe I’ll pick some up once I have the phone.
