Philosophy by Demon
Here is some of my ideas about life, truth, and power:
The Nemo way:
In the fish tank: Don’t be like the fish trying to keep the bubbles to himself and away from everyone else, and be like the fish that is open and willing to take risks to better himself and others (clogging the filter to let everyone escape).
With Multiple Births (aka Twins, Triplets, etc):
You can try till you are blue in the face to get them on a schedule, the real trick is to get yourself on a schedule that fits theirs in and allows you to accomplish things and get out of the house occasionally.
Want:
When it comes to life 99 out of 100 people are really only concerned about what they Want and how they are going to get it. The person who can understand what people think they want and what they need and help them get it has a lot going for them. (more on this later)
People:
Please read Dale Carnegie’s ‘How to win friends and influence people’, just do it.
On Help:
The concept of ‘Help’ is a very dynamic matter, what one person considers help can be a hindrance or hurt to another. That being said it is impolite in most cases to refuse help especially in cases of family. When ‘help’ can possibly turnout different identify what appears to be the intention and see if you can politely redirect the help into a more useful less frustrating form. This may not always be applicable and being aware that may be the case grin bear it and appreciate that someone is going out of their way to help you (be grateful they aren’t trying to kill you in your sleep).
Demon’s 3 Laws of Office Politics:
1. An employee will perform their job duties to the best of their abilities and as agreed upon on employment with as clear and/or ethical expectations as possible.
2. An employee will be honest and ethical and may not sacrifice their personal character, except when such conditions are legal and were agreed to in the first law.
3. An employee will perform their job function in a manner that will make their direct leader successful. Except when such behavior conflicts with the first and second laws.
